INGREDIENTS:
1 pound (about 450g) green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup sliced almonds
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Serves: 6 People
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Blanch the Green Beans:
Cook green beans in boiling salted water for 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and shock in ice water, then drain again.
2. Saute the Green Beans:
Saute minced garlic in olive oil over medium heat for 1 minute. Add blanched green beans and saute for 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp.
3. Toast the Almonds:
Toast sliced almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until lightly golden and fragrant.
4. Combine and Season:
Add toasted almonds to the skillet with green beans. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss until well combined.
5. Serve:
Transfer the sauteed green beans and almonds to a serving dish. Optionally, serve with lemon wedges on the side.
